THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

JUST IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING?

FAQ

How does booking work?

For shoots:
a 50% booking fee secures your date.
For weddings:
If it is at all possible I would love to meet you beforehand, then a signed contract and proof of payment gets you booked.

How many images do you include?

For me, one of the most important and also hardest and time consuming tasks is image curation and I believe in giving you the best of the best and not boring you with several versions of the same photo over and over again. These are your memories, I'll make sure to give you more than enough images to remember this time in your lives.

Can we get the Raw// unedited images?

Nope. That's the easiest answer you can get, and also the most honest. I do believe editing is an important part of my work and I don't like to let jobs go unfinished.

If you feel I missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’m more than happy to check back through my images and send it over to you (I make mistakes, I'm human after all).

Can you Photoshop us?

I believe in promoting self love and body positivity, so I don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruise, scrape, acne etc unless you’d like me to keep it the photos).

Do you need to see the location / venue before the shoot?

Most spaces have an element of beauty in them, so I will be able to work with what is available without having to see the venue beforehand. We usually arrive an hour before we start. This gives us ample time to have a look around.

Can we meet before booking you as our photographer?

Oh yes, please! I love meeting new people! I live in Pretoria and would love to meet up for Ice Cream, cake or coffee. I know most of my clients have 9-5 day jobs and therefor I’m available after hours, early morning and on lunch breaks. And if all else fail we can arrange a Skype date.

What is your accommodation and travel policy?

Buy one and get the first 50 km free! Travel is charged at normal AA rates. If your venue is three hours drive outside Pretoria, I will require accommodation. It doesn’t need to be fancy, a nice B&B will do. ( We’re not looking for a free holiday, we just want to ensure that we are well rested and on time to deliver awesomeness.)

Do you need to feed us at your wedding?

Yes, please! With being on our feet for an entire day, a meal will provide much-needed sustenance. We won’t be drinking any alcohol whilst on the job, so a jug of water and a place to site will be awesome! It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, we’ll gladly sit anywhere even next to the crazy uncle. We just need a space to set up the headquarters.

Do you provide all the photos in black and white?

No. I really love black and white photos, but I save it for the one’s that I feel suit the style best. Some photos need to be in black and white, others don’t. You can expect about 30% of your images to be in Black and white.

CAN I POST THE PHOTOGRAPHS TO FACEBOOK?

Yes please post everywhere!!! As long as you don’t use it for commercial purposes or sell it, you’re more than welcome to. When you post, it would be awesome if you could give us a mention #anandiphotography or @anandiphotography.

What if there's bad weather?

I always encourage embracing whatever weather comes our way, as it’s beautiful and unique in photos. If conditions are too harsh and I'd be risking to ruin my gear, we'd either find a way to shoot indoors (on weddings), or reschedule the session.
