10 Wedding Day Tips from Your
Best Friend-Photographer
Hey gorgeous bride-to-be! 🌸 So, the big day is almost here. Eeep! First of all, deep breaths. I know the nerves are real, but remember – this day is all about celebrating YOU and the love of your life. And because I’m both your best friend and wedding photographer, I’ve got some insider tips to make sure you sail through your wedding day like the glowing queen you are. Ready? Let’s dive in!.
hhh
I. Start Your Day with a Quiet Moment
Before all the “Where’s my veil?” chaos begins, take 5 minutes for yourself. Whether it’s a little meditation, a prayer, journaling, or just sipping coffee in your PJs, it’s YOUR time. Trust me, this calm moment will be a game-changer.
II. Wear Your Confidence
Your dress? Perfection. Your hair? On point. But the real showstopper? Confidence. Walk down that aisle like you own it, because you do. And hey, I’ll be there snapping those “I’m a total boss” shots every step of the way.
III. Hydrate Like It’s Your Job
I’m talking water, not champagne (yet!). Keep a water bottle by your side, because between the excitement and happy tears, hydration is key. And let’s be honest, no one wants dehydrated-bride forehead wrinkles in photos. 😉
iv. Schedule in Some Sneaky Alone Time
I call this a first look or a first touch, This happens before the guests start arriving. Just you too alone for a few moments. You can just talk for a bit or do some private vows, I could also sneak in a few shots.
Trust me, you’ll appreciate those few private moments in the middle of a very public day.
v. Cry All the Happy Tears
Waterproof mascara? Check! Tissue hidden in your bouquet? Check! You’ll cry, and it’ll be beautiful. Don’t hold back; the emotional moments are always the most stunning (and no, your makeup won’t melt off – I’ll make sure of it!).
vii. Trust the Timeline, But Go with the Flow
Things might run behind (we all know Aunt Linda’s always late), but don’t sweat it. I’ve got your back. Just enjoy the day as it unfolds. Trust me, you won’t even notice the tiny stuff.
viii. Don’t Forget to Eat (Yes, I’m Looking at You)
Girl, you’ve been thinking about that wedding cake for months! Make sure you actually get a bite. Also, having a few snacks handy pre-ceremony? Totally smart. Hangry brides are not cute.
ix. Smile When You Feel Like It, Not Just Because
You’ll have a million cameras in your face (mine included). But remember: the best smiles are the real ones. If you need a break from all the posing, say so. Authentic moments are where the magic happens
x. Soak It All In
This day will fly by. At some point, just pause, look around, and take in everything. The flowers, the people, the laughter – it’s all for you and the love you’ve built. And I’ll be there, catching it all so you can relive it for years to come.
