Hi, I am Anandi

badass wedding photographer, ice cream connoisseur & hopeless romantic.

With 10+ years of experience and over 300 weddings under my belt, I know how to make anyone feel at ease and look great!

More about me

I live in Pretoria with my bearded boys — Philip, the love of my life and best friend (#philipdiebaardman), our baby boy Phil, and our two Schnauzer pups, who were our first fur babies. We go on all sorts of amazing adventures, be it the mountain in our backyard or the cold, crisp waters of the Atlantic.

I’m a lover of light, film, and black-and-white photographs. A hopeless romantic and connoisseur of ice cream and chocolate. Harry Potter and Friends are on a constant repeat in our home.

I studied photography at TUT (Jip, got the diploma and everything), and I can’t walk past something pretty without touching it. I probably know every word to most of Taylor Swift’s albums and, yes, I talk a little too much — but that's just part of the magic. I love being a photographer and am grateful I get to meet amazing humans and share in their stories.

My love for photography started at a young age and was nurtured by my history-and-photography-loving aunt (who bought me my first camera). I remember sitting in her “library” of albums, looking through hundreds of family albums, amazed by the photographs and their ability to capture life on a sheet of paper.

Now a good few years later – after countless disposable cameras, a Barbie cam, 5 almost-digital point-and-shoot cameras, three old school SLRs, a GoPro, a turquoise Polaroid, five - no wait, six - pretty epic DSLRs, my National Diploma in Photography, and over 300 weddings later (yes, I’ve been doing this a while), I proudly call myself a professional photographer.

I like to keep things simple, but I love pushing my limits and the limits of photography. I especially love photographing people.

My style is best described as nostalgic, modern lifestyle photography with an artistic edge. While my main focus is weddings and engagements, I am always up for lifestyle, family, travelling sessions, and creative shoots when my schedule allows it.

I can't wait to tell your story.

Forever yours,

Anandi

The Little Things That Made Me

2+

I was around 2 years old when I took my first photos, it was on the family film camera. Dad was not happy.

I did get my first toy camera that Christmas.

3rd place

Somewhere in the early 2000's I won 3rd place in a local newspaper.

Used the cash prize to buy a camera.

100+

We have no idea how many cameras I actually own.. on the last count it was in the 100s.

Most are on display in my office and childhood room. But some have been found in random boxes.

7

There are 7 rolls of film in my fridge just waiting to be used.
